Diagnosis and essential management of:
Dr Sara Ritchie I qualified from Edinburgh University in 1993 and have worked as a GP in London since 2003. I also have an MSc in Public Health, a Diploma in Tropical Medicine, and completed my Diploma in Clinical Dermatology in 2008, with Merit. After this I worked initially for 5 years as a hospital clinical assistant in dermatology in UCLH in central London, with 3 of these years spent doing tertiary clinics in travel, infectious & HIV dermatology. During these 5 years I had weekly professorial support, and co-authored 4 book chapters on dermatology.
Since 2015 I have working as a GPWER in dermatology with 2 community services in London – Communitas Clinics and Guy’s hospital community dermatology service, doing on average 4 dermatology clinics a week. I was also on the committee of the UK Primary Care Dermatology Society (PCDS) for 4 years, and was the sole Editor of the PCDS Bulletin for 3 years from 2017-2020. I have published a number of review and feature articles in MIMS Dermatology, Pulse, and the PCDS Bulletin. I have given national talks several times before for Pulse Live, MIMS Live, the PCDS, and Mediconf. I enjoy making complex things simple to understand and teach.
