Meet the Speakers
Professor Raj Thakkar

Raj’s roles include GP partner, primary care cardiology lead for the Oxford Health Innovation Network and member of the national cardiac transformation programme (NHSE). He is also on the national EAGs for lipids, heart attack and heart failure. Raj is President of the Primary Care Cardiovascular Society, Honorary Visiting Professor at Cardiff University Medical School, Head of Medical External Engagement and Innovation for AstraZeneca, and UK medical director for Healthy.io. Previous roles have included Clinical Commissioning Director for Bucks CCG/BOB ICB in planned care and Cardiac Lead for the TVSCN.

Raj has worked as a presenter on BBC Radio and is a medical writer, speaker, and advisor. He has published over 200 articles and several books including the MIMS consultation guide which won the BMA book of the year. He has achieved two AF pioneer awards, was a national finalist for GP of the year in 2017 and a national HSJ finalist.

Helen Kilminster Helen Kilminster

Helen is the senior pharmacist, advanced clinical practitioner at Portway Family Practice, Sandwell. She is also the PCN Deputy Clinical Director for Citrus Health, which covers over 42 000 patients across 5 practices. 

Helen has completed her tenure as a Primary Care Clinical Leadership Executive for the Black Country ICB 2023 and PCN Clinical Director for People’s Health Partnership, Birmingham 2021.  Helen was the LVS lead for the COVID Vaccination Programme 2020, which provided vaccination services for 22 GP surgeries in Western Birmingham, delivery from City Hospital. She continued to lead COVID Vaccinations for Autumn Booster Programme 2022 at Citrus Health PCN. Helen is the Vice President for Primary Care Pharmacy Association and a Royal Pharmaceutical Society Fellow. Helen is also a board member for NHSEI Inclusive Pharmacy Practice Advisory Board,  NHSEI Pharmacy Integration Clinical Reference Group and involved with the UK Commission on Pharmacy Professional Leadership.

Meredith Donaldson Meredith Donaldson

Meredith Donaldson is an experienced Physician Associate currently practicing in a rural primary care setting in East Lincolnshire. She holds a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the United States, where she began her career specializing in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in California. Since relocating to the UK over four years ago, Meredith has continued to expand her clinical and academic expertise. She has completed a Diploma in Improving Diabetes Care and earned a second Master’s degree in Long-term Conditions, with a particular emphasis on respiratory and cardiovascular health. Meredith is currently pursuing a PhD, focusing her research on the intersection of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and cardiovascular disease (CVD).

Do You Provide Recordings Of The Zoom Webinar?

None of our webinars are recorded, due to the presentations being copyright and therefore the intellectual property of our speakers.

Do I Get A Refund If I Cancel?

All paid course fees are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE. Our fees are so nominal, they cover administration costs of the event, which have already been incurred (e.g., Admin time/Website Costs/Card Payment Processing Fees). Please let us know if you are unable to attend, as it will allow your place to be allocated to another delegate. If you fail to attend a paid course, you will still have access to the course downloads. If you fail to attend a free course, you will not have access to any post course materials. To notify us that you cannot attend the course, please send an email to webinar@mediconf.co.uk

How Do I Access My Certificate And Course Materials?

After attending one of our courses, certificates of attendance and any course materials are available for 6 months for sole sponsored events and 12 months for all other events ONLY. After the course date, please log onto the Members Area of our website, to obtain your documents. If you require a duplicate copy of your certificate, an admin fee of £15.00 will be charged. This payment can be made over the telephone using all major cards.
