I have worked as a GP for 28 years and GPwSI for 20 years. I am completing my 13th year as a GP trainer. I work in a large practice as Senior GP Partner. I was Clinical Lead for Mental health for St Helens CCG until 2022, implementing map of medicine care pathways, suicide prevention strategy clinical workstreams and training and for many of those years worked clinically in a Primary Care Mental Health team.

I am GP Educator on the Wigan and St Helens and Knowsley training schemes. I am involved in Lead Educator exam support for NHSE Northwest GP school. I am the Mental Health Lead for the Digital Company ORCHA.

My interest in GP is holistic compassionate patient centred realistic care with a narrative-based communication style.

Over the years I have been privileged to work with many Mental health charities and services including: The Priory, PRIMHE, RCGP and worked with The Wellbeing Project CIC who won the prestigious Mental Health Innovation award in 2010.

In my spare time I enjoy travelling, cycling (with coffee and cake stops) yoga, singing in an acapella choir and am taking a sabbatical in rural GP, based in The Highlands of Scotland.
