About MediConf

About MediConf

MediConf UK was started in 2007, initially as a provider of GP Courses. These GP education courses soon became popular with other Health Care Professionals and became a source of CPD Education for Nurses, Pharmacists etc.

Initially, all our CPD accreditation courses, were held face to face. Pre-pandemic we held annually, over 150 Live CPD Update Courses, throughout the UK in the following Locations:

Belfast, Birmingham, Blackpool, Bristol, Brighton, Cardiff, Glasgow, Kegworth, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Middlesbrough, Milton Keynes, Norwich, Plymouth, Sheffield and Southampton.

During the Covid Pandemic, MediConf had to adapt as a business and started to run online CPD Courses for GPs and for Nurses/other Healthcare professionals. We use the Zoom Webinar Platform to provide these CPD Updates.

As Covid becomes endemic and we learn to live with the disease as part of our lives, we will continue to offer CPD Update training courses in whatever format that is required by our members. This may be face-to-face or online CPD courses.

The company is ideally placed to offer high quality Education. Its Medical Director, Dr John Poyner, who has recently retired from clinical practice, was an NHS GP for 33 years. He is always on the lookout to develop GP Education Events, which are of interest to members of the wider Primary Team.

What our delegates say

Delegate from Webinar: A really good up to date talk on prostate cancer and PSA testing Dr Jon Rees - Prostate Cancer
Delegate from Webinar: Really well delivered, thanks for being very clear, as a practice nurse its very much appreciated Dr Sara Ritchie - Dermatology
Delegate from Webinar: This was one of the most important webinars I have joined. Mental health is more important now during the pandemic and will be for some time after as we aim to get back to a new normality of life. So many have been isolated, all of us suffered from lockdown and families broken or split because of the silent illness of mental health. Thank you for putting this study evening on. Dr Laura Pogue - Mental Health
Delegate from Webinar: Just brilliant! This last talk was really one that provoked food for thought and has already helped me manage a patient with post exercise wheeze. The depth of Dr Homes´s knowledge and vast experience is astonishing and it´s a privilege to hear him speak. I seems to have a rare ability to make the complex understandable to exactly the level needed in order to apply to daily clinical practice whilst covering a wide range of topics at the same time. Dr Steve Holmes - Respiratory
Delegate from Webinar: Very interesting course. The photographs were really good. I have learnt a lot about identifying skin lesions and have used the knowledge I gained already. Would highly recommend Dr Finbar McGrady - Dermatology 1
