Meet the Speaker
Dr Sara Ritchie

I qualified from Edinburgh in 1993 and have worked as a GP in London since 2003. I also have an MSc in public health, a diploma in tropical medicine, and I completed my dermatology diploma with merit in 2008. After this I also worked initially for 5 years as a hospital clinical assistant in dermatology in UCLH in central London, with 3 of these years spent doing tertiary clinics in travel & tropical dermatology and a year of HIV skin clinics. During the time I was a clinical assistant I had professorial support and I co-authored 4 book chapters on dermatology.

Since 2015 I have been working as a GPwER in dermatology with two different services – Communitas Clinics and at Guy’s hospital community dermatology service, doing on average 4 dermatology clinics a week. I was also the editor of the Primary Care Dermatology Society (PCDS) bulletin for 3 years until 2020, and on the committee of the PCDS for 4 years. I have published review articles on Lyme disease and HIV dermatology for MIMS Dermatology and have also published articles on dermatology in Pulse and the PCDS bulletin and given talks on dermatology a few times previously for Pulse Live & MIMS Live.

What our delegates say

Delegate from Webinar: One of the best dermatology presentations attended, good breadth of coverage. Dr Sara Ritchie - Dermatology
Delegate from Webinar: It was an excellent study morning pitched at the right level. Presented in an easy to follow format. The content was very relevant to day to day general practice and I really enjoyed the systematic approach to diagnosing rashes, something that often gets forgotten about as most talks focus on just condition (after condition) instead. Her helpful advice and eagerness to answer questions as they arose and at the end are commendable. Five-star! Thank you. Dr Sara Ritchie - Dermatology
Delegate from Webinar: Brilliant presentation; very helpful with regard to how to approach skin issues and ensuring good description first and DD around specific areas. Found it really informative and engaging. Please get Sara back for more! Dr Sara Ritchie - Dermatology
